IN AFRICAN SHIRT
What appears to be another civil uprising is creeping in Nimba County as two towns in the county clashed violently over the weekend leaving more than fifty houses completely burned down.
Speaking on a local radio station in Monrovia, the Superintendent of Nimba County, Robert Kamei said the fighting between two towns in Yarwin Menhnsonoh District of the County was a result of a report on the mysterious disappearance of a citizen from Kwendin. He said Dester Willie went missing on January 2 and his decomposed body was discovered on February 9. He said the discovery of Willie’s body provoked angry youths from Kwendin to gang up and launch the arson attack on Dor town. Due this, inhabitants of the rival towns are currently seeking refuge in Tappita and Zahnzayee. Security forces in Nimba have arrested eighteen persons in connection with the incident.
